The UCSB Library will be offering three Zotero Basics workshops for graduate students during the Fall quarter. Zotero is a free bibliography management tool that helps you collect citations for your research and generate entries for notes and bibliographies. Workshops will be held in the UCSB Library. Humanities Without Walls (HWW) seeks applications for the Career Diversity Summer Workshop. This year's workshop will be hosted by the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities from July 17 - 28, 2023. Selected workshop fellows will be provided with accommodations in Minneapolis and a $4,000 stipend. Apply by Nov 1 to be UCSB's nominee!

The Emerging Researchers National (ERN) Conference has opened general registration. The conference will be held in Washington, D.C. on February 9-11. The ERN conference is designed to help students to enhance their science communication skills; to better understand how to prepare for science careers in a global workforce; and to discover summer, graduate school, and employment opportunities.
