Every fall, the Graduate Division hosts a half-day event called Reorientation. The purpose of the event is to celebrate PhD students who have advanced to candidacy over the past year and to reconnect them with important campus resources that will help them navigate the ABD (all but dissertation) phase of their program. Attendees participate in small group discussions, learn from a panel of senior ABD students, and hear presentations by a number of campus resources such as the Library, Academic Services, and the Graduate Student Resource Center. Reorientation is a great way to kickstart the ABD phase and to meet other students who are embarking on the dissertation journey. You won't want to miss it!

Invitations to Reorientation are sent out directly to eligible students in early Fall Quarter. If you don't receive an invitation but would like to participate, please email Shawn Warner, Director of Professional Development.
