The Division of Social Sciences and the Department of Black Studies will be hosting UCSB alumna Sarah Eisner '93 and Randy Quarterman, co-founders of The Reparations Project, on March 7 from 4-6p. The talk, which is followed by a reception, will be held at the MultiCultural Center.

The Public Domain Players present to you Finding Jud(a)ea, a brand new play written and directed by Grace Kimball, PhD Student in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies at UCSB. Finding Jud(a)ea will premiere on March 3 at the Isla Vista Community Center, with additional stagings on March 4 & 5.

Come join the International TA Appreciation Social on Wednesday, March 1 from 3-4:30p. The focus of the social is "Finding Your Teaching Identity". There will be food and fun activities to help international TAs boost their confidence as teaching assistants.

The Resource Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity has two workshops around processing burnout and fatigue coming up at the end of February! In this workshop, participants explore these questions through engaging in reflections on critical thought — particularly the wisdom of BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+ and feminist thinkers — and leaning into creative practices.

Next week, UCSB Arts & Lectures welcomes acclaimed materials scientist and science communicator Dr. Ainissa Ramirez. On Feb 22, Dr. Ramirez will host a lunch and learn session on the topic of “Diversity in STEM.” On Feb 23, Dr. Ramirez will deliver an illustrated presentation on the impact of women and people of color in science and engineering. Both events are free.

The Public Domain Players (PDP) theatre company is hosting an informational session to recruit more people, especially graduate students, and to talk about their upcoming season. This session will be held on this Thursday, Feb 16 at 6:30pm in the Early Modern Center (South Hall 2510). The lecture series, “Fast & Curious: ED Talks from UC Santa Barbara’s Gevirtz School," returns on Wednesday, January 25 at 7pm at the Santa Barbara Public Library. Three faculty members, two graduate students, and one postdoctoral fellow will give talks about their research or work that is shaping education and applied psychology.
