The National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Success Series is here to support ALL students eligible to apply. Through five sessions, we will:

  1. Cover the basics of applying to the GRFP by outlining eligibility criteria and needed materials as well as answer all questions about the application process (What is the GRFP? An Info Session);

  2. Break down the two statements required for the GRFP and provide writing tips for how to craft a winning statement (How to Write Your GRFP Statements);

  3. Host a panel of faculty who evaluate GRFP applications so that you know what evaluators look for in a winning application (Q&A Panel with GRFP Faculty Evaluators); and

  4. Read through sample winning statements to highlight what a successful statement looks like (Sample Statements Writing Workshop).

These four sessions are open to both undergraduate and graduate students, students in STEM and social sciences (including education research on science learning). Students who are not applying this upcoming year but may in the future are also encouraged to attend so that they have ample time to prepare a strong application in subsequent years.
