Osiris Hal is in their second year in Counseling, Clinical and School Psychology Program, working in the Trauma & Adversity, Resilience & Prevention (TARP) Lab. They went to UC Davis as an Oakland Promise Scholar. At UC Davis, they studied Psychology (B.A.) with two minors in African & African American Studies and Human Development. As an undergrad, they worked in two research labs, one related to formation of stereotypes and implications, and then afterwards a child development lab focused on memory, attachment and trauma. These labs, coursework, previous work/volunteer experiences along, with their own life experiences, informed their decision to enter a clinical psychology program. As Grad Career Peer, they hold weekly foundational appointments to support graduate students with Resume, CV, Cover letter, LinkedIn, Networking, and Job Search advice. They also will host workshops that invite warmth, intersectionality, and empowerment to support students on their individual journeys.
