Campus Advocacy, Resources, & Education (CARE) is seeking graduate student ambassadors to serve as representatives to facilitate various awareness programs for the UCSB community. Ambassadors will work with CARE, their student organizations, and/or departments to share resources with peers and collaborate on educational events. The application deadline is November 19, 2018.
CARE's Student Ambassador Program is an organization of student leaders at UCSB who are committed to addressing the issues of rape, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking on our campus. Student ambassadors are leaders on campus, where they are uniquely positioned to outreach to their various communities, groups, and organizations on campus and to effect positive social influence as change agents. They serve as representatives from their organizations to facilitate various awareness programs for their communities and the UCSB community as a whole.
Ambassadors will work with CARE (Campus Advocacy, Resources, & Education) and their student organizations and/or departments to share âtheir resources with peers and have the opportunity to collaborate on educational events. Ambassadors will work 5-6 hours a month and will have monthly meetings with the âCARE office. They will receive training and materials to share with their student organizations in addition to professional development on how to discuss issues of interpersonal violence. Ambassadors will build communication, leadership, and public speaking skills through this opportunity.
