Do you have a stellar Master's student that graduated within the past academic year? Nominate them for the 2017-18 Distinguished Master's Thesis Award, presented by the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS) and PROQUEST. The award consists of a certificate, $1,000 to the recipient, and travel expenses for the student to the annual WAGS meeting in Las Vegas.

While there will be two campus nominees from UCSB, departments may submit multiple students for consideration. Of the two campus nominees, one will be in the STEM category (Biological Sciences, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering) and the other in the SHEF category (Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, and Business). The Graduate Division will administer the review of campus nominations in order to select the two campus finalists.

The deadline to submit nomination materials is Monday, August 14, at 4 p.m.
All nomination materials must be submitted electronically to graddeans@draddiv.ucsb.edu. Guidelines and information to submit your nomination are provided in the flyer.

You may direct questions to Christian Villasenor at graddeans@graddiv.ucsb.edu or x2013.
