The Office for Inclusion and Diversity at Virginia Tech is accepting applications for the Fall 2023 Future Faculty Diversity Program.

About
The Future Faculty Diversity Program (FFDP) is designed to encourage graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, with a particular focus on historically underrepresented minorities in the United States, to consider current or future faculty positions at Virginia Tech.

FFDP is scheduled to occur in person from October 1-4, 2023. This three-day program provides selected fellows with a unique opportunity to learn about the university's culture, meet with senior leaders, department heads, and faculty members, and gain valuable insights into life as a faculty member at Virginia Tech. Fellows will also hear from campus leaders about the interviewing process, strategies for negotiating job offers, and tips for navigating the tenure process in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Eligibility
Current Ph.D. candidates or postdoctoral fellows within one year of pursuing a faculty position, and of a caliber to be competitive for a position, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Award
Travel, lodging, and food costs are covered by Virginia Tech for all invited fellows.

Deadline
Potential fellows should submit applications no later than August 15, 2023.

Learn more and apply on the fellowship website.
