National Geographic internships & grants

The National Geographic Society has a 10-week paid summer internship program that provides educational and work-related opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. All interns will perform work on a temporary basis to gain job-related skills and will engage in other formal learning and educational opportunities. The program offers support and guidance from a wide array of National Geographic staff and focuses on giving interns the opportunity to learn from the host department/mentor, the management team, other staff members, and Human Resources.

‚ÄčNational Geographic also has several grant programs for which students can apply. You can find out more information about their grant programs here. Their next deadline for Early Career Grants (target career stage is graduate school through 5 years of professional experience in that field post-graduation) is April 22, 2020. They fund projects in research, conservation, storytelling, education, and technology. ‚ÄčPlease read the information on the website for eligibility information and areas of focus.
