The UCSB Library is proud to announce the grand opening of the Makerspace! Come check out the new space and attend some of the opening events for this workshop of creativity.
The UCSB Library's Makerspace is now open for use! To celebrate the now open space, the Library is hosting a whole slate of Grand Opening events from January 16-19.
Come check out cool events such as:
- Planting Innovation (Food Provided)
- Building Bots (Food Provided)
- Button Making Marathon
- Simple Style Upgrades (Food Provided)
- Conducting Electric Orchestras (Food Provided)

The Makerspace is located on the first floor of the Library, Ocean Side, and is open to UCSB students, faculty, and staff for personal exploration, research and academics. From 3D printers, to sewing & embroidery machines, laser cutters and more, come check out this den of creativity and wonder today!
