The Latinxs & the Environment Initiative at UC Riverside invites you to participate in their inaugural research conference. The conference theme is "Conectando a la comunidad Latina en la investigación ambiental y el cambio social."

The Latinxs & the Environment research conference will be held on two consecutive days from October 20-21. The first day of the conference will be held on the evening of October 20th at the Barbara and Art Culver Center for the Arts and will feature poster presentations from undergraduate student researchers. The second day of the conference will be held on October 21st at the Student Success Center on the main UCR campus. It will feature keynote speaker Dr. Loralee Larios, Assistant Professor and Plant Ecologist from UCR. This event will include speakers, workshops and presentations. A light breakfast and lunch will be served for all those in attendance.

The L&E 2023 conference is open for any UC student and faculty to present their research. This conference is also offering travel award to two (2) graduate students from each UC campus for flight and lodging.

To attend this conference and submit to present, please submit a registration form.

If you are presenting research, you must submit an abstract. Abstract submissions can be made using the registration form. The registration form is also where you can submit
a request for a travel award. The extended deadline to submit an abstract and apply for a travel award is September 6.
