Are you expecting to travel abroad soon? The UC Office of the President's Risk Services has put out a notice for UC graduate students regarding the UC Student Travel Insurance Policy. If you are traveling as a part of your research or degree program, you have access to the benefits that this policy provides, along with other resources and support.

Expecting to Travel Soon?

The UC Office of the President, Risk Services wants to inform all UC graduate students traveling abroad as part of their research or degree program that they have access to benefits under the UC student travel insurance policy. Learn more at the Travel Risk and Insurance web page under the Student Resources. Benefits include but are not limited to:

  • Medical benefits for accidents and illnesses
  • Travel inconvenience benefits including trip cancellation and interruption
  • Personal property loss, damage or theft
  • Non-insurance benefits including access to travel assistance services

Also, don’t forget to register your travel! Travel registration is an important risk management tool and facilitates the campus travel risk manager in identifying who may be in a certain location during a crisis. Travel registration also signs travelers up to receive travel alerts from UC’s security provider, Crisis24.
