CNSI at UCSB is launching the second cohort of the Innovation 360 workshop, successfully piloted last year through BioPACIFIC MIP, to help researchers gain a 360-degree view on what characteristics an early stage academic technology needs in order to have strong potential to translate into commercial products/services. More generally, the organizers hope this workshop will provide you with tools to broadly engage industry in your research.

See the flyer below and the syllabus to learn more about the arc of the program and the schedule of the workshops. Each session will feature a discussion with subject-matter experts on an element related to technology translation. Also, participants will be asked to bring a technology from their lab as a case study, applying the principles they learn in each session to the selected technology, and presenting their findings to the group for discussion.

The workshop's modules will kick off on October 12. If you are interested in participating, please let organizers know ASAP via this webform. Given that there's an active presentation/discussion component for each session, they can only accommodate 10 participants in each of the two tracks. Organizers ask that you commit to attending all of the workshop modules.
