The Academic Senate is now accepting applications on a first-come, first-serve basis for the 2018-19 Doctoral Student Travel Grant. Applicants must be doctoral students and have advanced to candidacy, or if Master of Fine Arts students, must be in their second year and be in candidacy prior to travel. The Simons Foundation invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships to support research on fundamental problems in marine microbial ecology. The award is for three years, contingent upon satisfactory annual progress reports, and will include an annual stipend of $62,000 and an annual allowance of up to $25,000. The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program supports dissertations students for research abroad from 6-12 months in: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories). Deadline to apply is July 2, 2018.

SENS Research Foundation (SRF) is inviting recent PhD graduates and postdoctoral fellows to submit proposals for a fellowship at their Research Center in Mountain View, California.
