Various opportunities are available to teach and research in Canada through the Fulbright Canada-American Postdoctoral Scholars Award Program. While the application deadline is not until September 2019, it is advisable to begin inquiring and learning about the different programs and application process early. The Fulbright Canada-American Postdoctoral Scholar Awards provide approximately 50 teaching and/or research grants to U.S. faculty and experienced professionals in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.

  • Grant length: Applicants can propose projects for a period of 4, 9, or 12 months.
  • The dates of the awards should coincide with the academic year of the host institution.
  • Now accepting applications for awards to be taken up in the 2020-2021 Academic Year.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility for these awards require the candidate to meet the minimum requirements mentioned below:

  • Be U.S. citizens (Permanent residence is not sufficient).
  • Hold a PhD or equivalent professional/terminal degree as appropriate.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Be in compliance with all J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) guidelines.
  • Be in compliance with all governmental regulations regarding visas, immigration, travel and residency.

Applications accepted until September 16, 2019.
