The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) empowers students to take direct action and come up with innovative solutions to solve our environmental problems. Any student, staff, or faculty member of the University community can submit a project proposal. Don’t miss the chance to fund your campus green project! Applications are due Monday, February 4th, 2019.
OVERVIEW
The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) provides funding for projects which "green" our campus and reduce the University's impact on the environment. Since this student-funded initiative began over ten years ago, TGIF has advanced over 100 projects that increase the amount of renewable energy used on campus, increase water and energy efficiency, and reduce waste at the University. The fund also provides critical support for carbon neutrality projects and UCSB's goal to reach zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2025.
TGIF is now soliciting proposals for funding cycle 2018-19. To apply, please use the online application form. You may download the 2018-19 Funding Application, the Sample Timeline and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Spreadsheet for use in preparing your application.
