OVERVIEW

The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) is a student-governed grant supported by a $3.47 lock-in fee that every UCSB undergraduate and graduate student pays each quarter. It raises over $170,000 per year to fund projects that reduce UCSB's impact on the environment. Any UCSB student, staff, or faculty member is eligible to apply for funding for their projects. Ideal projects will show a quantifiable change (energy, waste, water reduction, etc.) while also educating the campus community.
