This new program aims to encourage cooperation among promising young French and American researchers. Up to nine Franco-American projects will be selected. Each selected project will receive a maximum of $20,000 over a period of two years. Deadline is April 9.

This new program, the Thomas Jefferson Fund, launched by the French Embassy and the FACE foundation, aims to encourage and support cooperation among the most promising young French and American researchers and foster forward-looking collaborative research that addresses the most pressing global challenges.

Up to nine Franco-American projects will be selected. Each selected project will receive a maximum of $20,000 over a period of two years.

Applications are accepted in the three following fields:

  • Humanities and Social Sciences (SSH)

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

  • Science for Society (interdisciplinary STEM-SSH projects)

Important Dates

Submission deadline: April 9, 2017, midnight EST

Announcement of the selected projects: June 2017

Launch of the selected projects: July 2017
