UCSB's Society for Advancement of Chican@s/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) Graduate Chapter is hosting a Welcome Back BBQ at Goleta Beach Area B on Friday, October 6, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Interested in earning an Amazon gift card while participating in exciting research? The Department of Education is inviting graduate students to participate in a focus group to explore UCSB's designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution.

The annual Diversity Immigrant Visa Program is administered by the U.S. Department of State; it makes up to 50,000 immigrant visas available to persons meeting certain eligibility requirements. Visas are allocated to natives of countries with historically lower rates of U.S. immigration.

The International Student Support Program (ISSP) is a free service to help UCSB's international students adapt to a new culture, support academic success, and discuss issues related to acculturation or homesickness.

The India Association of Santa Barbara is hosting a New Student Orientation at the San Clemente Center on Thursday, September 21, from 5-7 p.m. IASB will provide pizza and soft drinks, as well as a space for new students to meet and connect.

Interested in using music to de-stress in grad school? The Department of Music offers over a dozen ensembles in Fall Quarter that are open to music majors, nonmajors, and community members. Make note of audition and class times and join in on the fun!

Due to popular demand, the Office of Summer Sessions is proud to present GRIT Talks (Ground-Breaking Research and Innovative Technology). This series showcases eight amazing scholars at UCSB and kicks off on Monday, June 26 at 5:30 p.m. in Hatlen Theater.

Student health will remain open during its usual hours of 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. during the summer with a few partial closures. Current health coverage for GHI members continues until September 23. No referrals are necessary when more than 50 miles outside of Santa Barbara.

The Dining Room at The Club & Guest House is still accepting reservations for their all-you-can-eat brunch buffet during Commencement weekend! Reservations are available from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (June 17 and 18).
