UCSB is home to the Graduate Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational graduate student Bible study sponsored by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. The group holds a series of events throughout the academic year that all students are welcome to attend.

The UCSB Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity is pleased to invite you to participate in UCSB's second annual Out List! The Out List is a list of students, staff, and faculty who wish to publicly acknowledge and celebrate their affiliation with or support of UCSB queer and trans communities, supporting people of all genders and sexual orientations. All students (including graduate students) will now be able to indicate their pronouns in GOLD and other university systems. This comes after a long time effort from UCSB's Trans Taskforce, which has been advocating for more gender-inclusive policies on campus.

The Undergraduate Division is seeking graduate students who identify as allies ​or as first-generation students to connect, discuss, or present for their incoming first-generation undergraduate students and act as a First-Gen Mentor at the First-Gen Welcome event on Wednesday, September 25.

For one week each, beginning on August 9, three professional playwrights-in-residence will develop their new works in active collaboration with some of Santa Barbara’s favorite actors and a cadre of talented UC Santa Barbara students as part of LAUNCH PAD’s 6th annual Summer Reading Series. The Las Cumbres Observatory (LCO), a non-profit science organization in Goleta, has organized a free Astronomy Talk on Wednesday, July 17th, at 7pm. ​This will be a public talk by 2011 Nobel Laureate Professor Adam Riess of Johns Hopkins University, who will be speaking on "Supernovae and the Discovery of the Accelerating Universe." The Chicano Studies Institute and Student Affairs Assessment Initiative are providing $2000 mini grants to graduate students that are interested in helping student service departments assess their goals in serving the needs of vulnerable student communities.
