The Resource Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity has two workshops around processing burnout and fatigue coming up at the end of February!

Workshops Description:
What do we do with our collective fatigue? How might creative practice and play offer space to honor and acknowledge the roots of our collective or individual fatigue(s)? How might it offer space to feel nourished, energized and/or connected to self? In this workshop, we explore these questions through engaging in reflections on critical thought - particularly the wisdom of BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+ and feminist thinkers - and leaning into creative practices. Together, we will lean into creative practice as a tool towards individual and collective nourishment, pleasure and re-energization. This workshop is a hands- on space to immerse yourself in art-making. Offerings include tote painting, rock painting and canvas painting. You are welcome to bring your own objects to paint on (ie., denim jeans, white or black shoes, etc.). No prior painting experience is required.

About the Facilitator:
Roza Nozari, known as YallaRoza on social media, is an illustrator and storyteller based in Tkaronto ("Toronto"). She is a tender-hearted queer and a Muslim femme with ancestral roots in Iran. Her art practice is deeply informed by her own lived experiences, the communities she belongs to, and the profound critical thought of BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ scholars, healers, activists, and community/cultural workers. Weaving together words and visuals, she tells stories of personal and collective woundings, healing, resistance, and radical self-love.
