UCSB has released a new, interactive campus map in order to make navigating campus easier for UCSB's community and visitors. The map can be accessed through any computer or mobile device.
A recent article from The Current gives an overview of the new features offered by this revamped map, which covers all of UCSB's premises in Isla Vista, Goleta, and the main campus. Its updated features include:
- A menu and search function, with campus locations tagged with keywords based on abbreviations, acronyms, and affiliations.
- Classroom buildings, campus housing, food & dining
- Outdoor spaces, including outdoor wi-fi spaces
- Bicycle paths and parking; self service bike stations and pumps
- Points of interest and photo ops for campus visitors
- Updated information about transportation, new buildings, and ongoing construction
