While the library is closed during the COVID-19 emergency, the Interdisciplinary Research Collaboratory is able to offer remote-access to some of its software. Read on for more information!

During Winter quarter, the Interdisciplinary Research Collaboratory (IRC) will continue to provide students, faculty and staff with Windows virtual machines through Microsoft Azure Labs pre-loaded with the software listed below. Please visit their temporary homepage for full information and a link to a form to request access to one or both of the labs. Please note: this resource is limited and is not meant to provide software access to an entire course. If you are faculty or a TA who needs access for an entire course please contact the Collaboratory by emailing collaboratory@library.ucsb.edu.

GeoSpatial Lab

DataStats Lab

  1. Eviews

  4. Eikon/DataStream (market research)

  5. BrandWatch (social media research)

As a reminder, all students, faculty, and staff may also install the following software on their own computers: Esri ArcGIS software, SPSS, Mathematica, Matlab, and Microsoft Office Suite.

The Collaboratory is continuing all of its services that don't require a trip to the Library, including access to datasets, workshops and consultations.
