Read on for an important update about availability of Basic Needs resources over winter break.

The Food Security and Basic Needs Advising Center (the "SNAC"):
Most of the SNAC operations will be closed from Saturday, December 19th through Monday, January 18th. The SNAC will be open for limited services on January 6th, January 8th, and January 15th from 11am-4:30pm. Limited services will include distribution of masks, toilet paper, snack foods, and we will also distribute grocery vouchers by referral from USS or FCRT only on these limited service days.

Financial Crisis Response Team:
FCRT will not be able to provide emergency grants during the break, however they can communicate with students by email and direct them to other available resources. FCRT will continue to respond to emails during the break as usual, but with slower response times. They will continue to provide immediate transitional housing to houseless students, which includes 25 days of free housing for qualifying students.

The Grocery Delivery Program:
The Food Security and Basic Needs Taskforce's Grocery delivery program for students who are sick, immuno-compromised, quarantined, or over 60 will be operating at full capacity through December and January. Students can apply here. Questions about this program should be referred to Katie Maynard kcmaynard@ucsb.edu. You can also reach Katie by cell, especially for emergency needs, at 805-448-5111. Katie will be responding to requests through the whole holiday season.

The Halal and Kosher Grocery Program:
The Halal and Kosher Grocery Program will continue distribution through the break though the distribution schedule is slightly different from normal. If you know someone who may benefit from this program, please direct them to this application form. Questions about the Halal & Kosher Program should be referred to Liam Shahaf.
