The mission of the Associated Students Legal Resource Center (ASLRC) is to assist students in responding to legal problems that may be interfering with academic studies or otherwise adversely affecting their well-being. UCSB students can receive free legal advice, and an ASLRC Student Legal Advisor is available to consult with all registered UCSB students on any issue or concern in which legal education would be helpful, unless it involves the university or another UCSB student. Such matters may include, but are not limited to, landlord tenant disputes, criminal citations, contracts, personal injury matters, consumer complaints, credit and debt problems, family law, traffic tickets, employment problems, and immigration. All consultations are strictly confidential.

The ASLRC has also compiled this list of frequently asked questions and advice on common legal issues.
