CAPS is open and available for virtual appointments.
The following measures have been put in place to protect the health of the community:
EXISTING APPOINTMENTS - In-person appointments are now remote sessions using Zoom (audio or video) until further notice. Please send your provider a secure message with your preference. At the time of the scheduled appointment, your provider will initiate the contact. If you are able to, please communicate with CAPS regarding appointment cancellations. Late-cancellation and no-show fees will be waived starting on March 16, 2020 until further notice.
APPOINTMENTS - New appointment requests for existing CAPS clients can be made by calling (805) 893-4411, by secure messaging your clinician, or by submitting a CAPS Services Request.
LET'S TALK - The Let's Talk program provides a type of informal mental health consultation over the phone. The 20-minute consultations are a helpful way to talk to someone at CAPS without committing to ongoing therapy or treatment. This is a confidential service and is covered through your student fees. Learn more here.
INITIAL BRIEF ASSESSMENTS - If you are interested in a same-day Initial Brief Assessment to get started with services, please call CAPS (805) 893-4411 during regular hours or submit a CAPS Services Request. You will be placed in the queue and given an estimated wait time. A clinician will call you when it is your turn for an appointment.
Please remember you can access CAPS' after-hours crisis services by calling 805-893-4411 and selecting option “2”
