LabRATS, in collaboration with Facilities Management, ​has a new equipment funding program aimed to aid researchers in purchasing energy-saving equipment. This program is designed to help UCSB reach the goal of Carbon Neutrality by 2025 utilizing energy-efficient technology and encouraging the retirement of old and/or inefficient equipment. The program's funding serves as an incentive to help prioritize energy-efficient equipment.

Funding prioritizes applications with:

- Measurable energy savings
- The financial return on investment resulting from gas/electricity
savings
- Purchases that go above and beyond current purchasing policies

To apply, please fill out an initial interest form here. There is no deadline -- funds will be given on a first come, first served basis.
