Calfresh Awareness Week
This week is Calfresh Awareness Week at UCSB (October 14-18) to inform the campus community about Calfresh, which is one of our most important resources for students struggling with food insecurity or food stress.

What is Calfresh?
Calfresh is a federally funded nutrition assistance program that provides students with up to $194 per month in food benefits (that's $2,328 per year!). About 8,000 students at UCSB are eligible for Calfresh, but many do not know about it or do not know where to find help.

Where can students sign up?
Students can attend the Calfresh Enrollment Party on Wednesday October 16th in Corwin Pavilion, from 5-7pm. At this event, Calfresh Advocates will assist students with the application process, and food will be provided to students who are signing up. For a list of what paperwork to bring, visit food.ucsb.edu See the CalFresh Enrollment Party Flyer for more information.

What if students miss the Enrollment Party?
No problem! Advocates are available to meet with students Monday-Friday at various locations across campus. For hours and locations, click here or visit food.ucsb.edu/calfresh
