STEM Grad Students: Searching and Applying for Non-Academic Jobs

Wed, Nov 10 2021, 1:00 PM - 02:00 PM
/ Location:

It can be hard for some researchers and scientists to see how to apply their skills, talents, and abilities to fit into the working world. This workshop will help you begin to understand how to look for and apply for positions that speak to your values, skills, and interests. This workshop will review helpful career exploration platforms, including MyIDP, ChemIDP, and VersatilePhD to help you discover new career pathways and how to learn about viable career paths beyond the academy.

This is a workshop where participant engagement, such as asking questions and sharing comments, is helpful. Cameras do not need to be turned on, and feel free to eat your lunch, fold your laundry, etc. while you listen in!

When: Wednesday, November 10, 2021
Time: 1 - 2 pm
Where: Zoom*
*IMPORTANT: Registration through Qualtrics is required in order to receive a link to the Zoom session.
