Unlike many fellowships and grants, applications to the F-31 are not guaranteed full review. In fact, many people consider it an accomplishment simply for a proposal to make it to the feedback round. Once a panel of professionals are reviewing the proposal, they weigh the application's merits according to an ideology relevant to the fellowship itself and the NIH's larger goals. While there are a lot of wonderful resources out there that provide guidance on how to do well on the NIH F-31 application, ultimately your success will be determined by these evaluators. We are here to provide just that!
In this NIH F-31 Success Series Q & A panel, we have assembled various faculty who review materials for the NIH. They can speak from firsthand experience on what the NIH wants in your application. Besides being able to address common pitfalls (so that you know how to avoid them!), you can also bring your own questions to this session and get specific guidance on the application. This is a rare opportunity to gain insight from the other side of the process, so don't miss out!
