This is a working session on understanding Pivot (formerly COS Pivot), a comprehensive funding source database available to you as a UCSB student who may be seeking fellowships, grants, awards or call-for-proposals (CFP) that can support your specific research. Because UCSB is an institutional subscriber to this resource, UCSB students have full access to the database's capabilities. In this workshop, you will learn to navigate the different tools available like creating tailored search lists, finding other collaborators, and tracking funding opportunities. This event is particularly relevant if you are a beginner in understanding funding or an advanced student doing research who has not quite found funding options that fit your work. Please come with your laptops as well as your questions! Snacks will be provided.
