How to Write a Literature Review (Writing Workshop Series)

Wed, Feb 13, 1:00 PM - 02:30 PM
/ Location: SRB 2154

Nowhere in the classic five-paragraph-essay model is the literature review. For many students who spent years learning about introductions, body paragraphs, and conclusions, literature reviews can be confusing because they don’t fit neatly with previous knowledge. This is a problem because literature reviews, either as standalone works or components of larger pieces of writing, are vital for advanced scholarship. In this workshop, participants will learn what makes up a literature review and how to write one. Topics will cover a range of literature reviews in both content and style so that participants will emerge with the ability to draft a literature review specific to their discipline and writing needs.
