Apply for a two-year appointment to the University of California Board of Regents, the governing body for the entire 10-campus University system. The appointed Student Regent will receive a fee waiver or scholarship that covers mandatory University fees and tuition during the academic years when they serve. Application deadline is March 8.

Do you have an interest in helping junior high students and families gain familiarity with science and its importance in education? Family Ultimate Science Exploration (FUSE) is a program for underrepresented students and their families to gain familiarity with the practice of science, its importance in education, and its promise of exciting career options. Training for the FUSE program is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 5:30-7:30pm in 1605 Elings Hall. Pizza will be provided.

The GSS Fellows Program offers a 10-week paid professional training experience with a sustainability organization for graduate students and young professionals from under-represented groups. Deadline to apply is February 28, 2020.

The UC Center Sacramento announced its sixth annual Emerging Scholars Award for Excellence in Research and Public Policy. The award will recognize excellence in graduate student research with a direct impact on public policy. The recipients of the Emerging Scholars Award will receive a $500 prize and will deliver an invited policy lecture at the UC Center. Deadline to apply is March 13, 2020.
