The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) is offering three paid, fully virtual summer internships this summer in the areas of Broadening Participation in Graduate Education, Communications and Corporate Relations, and Public Policy and Government Affairs. Any master’s or doctoral student currently enrolled at a CGS member institution (UCSB qualifies) is eligible to apply. Last date to apply is May 4 and internships begin June 21.

Bakersfield College is seeking applications for their Faculty Diversification Fellowship. Candidates must be enrolled in the last semester of a qualified STEM graduate program, be a recent graduate of the program, Ph.D. candidates pursuing a STEM path, or have attained postdoctoral standing in a qualified STEM field. The RCSGD is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Education Initiatives and a Graduate Student Assistant for the 2021-22 school year. These positions contribute to the RCSGD mission of facilitating the intersectional inclusion and representation of the identities, experiences, and concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members at UCSB. The Graduate Division and the College of Creative Studies invites pairs of graduate students to submit a proposal to teach an undergraduate course to be offered in the College of Creative Studies (CCS) during the 2021-22 academic year. The course should be built around a social justice or environmental justice theme, and be taught by two graduate students coming from different fields. Students selected for this opportunity will be provided two $5,000 stipends in Summer/Fall to develop the course as well as an Associate position to teach in Winter 2022. Apply by June 1, 2021. On July 27, 2021, the libraries on all 10 University of California campuses will be connected through UC Library Search, a unified discovery and borrowing system that will allow you to borrow and renew materials from any library in the UC system using only your UCSB NetID and password. Every U.S. graduate student needs to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2, 2021 to qualify for fellowships, scholarships, block grants, or federal student loans at UCSB.
