Beyond Graduate School: Preparing masters students to build meaningful and impactful careers

For the past year, the CGCS team has worked hard to research and build curriculum to better support master's students. This information session will share the culmination of that research, and offer insights about the unique professional development needs of master's students.
The webinar will also introduce a new training platform, Beyond Graduate School, and show how the platform differs from CGCS's work with PhDs and postdocs in Beyond the Professoriate. This new platform comes out of CGCS's work with over 20,000 students annually - and the growing realization that master's students ask different questions and have different needs than our PhDs and postdocs.
The webinar will touch on:
- The challenges facing master's students in higher ed today;
- The data and difference between master's students and PhDs;
- How master's students see the role of career services and support in their education;
- And how we developed our curriculum in Beyond Graduate School to help master's students successfully leverage their education and training into meaningful careers.
