Embark, Gladstone’s Presidential Postdoctoral Program, aims to increase the representation of underrepresented groups within the sciences and at Gladstone (an independent, nonprofit life science research organization). This program was launched in 2021 as part of their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In addition to receiving a postdoctoral salary based on years of experience, and Gladstone’s full benefits package, participants will receive a stipend of $10,000 for the period of the program.

Participants in this program will:

  1. Join Gladstone’s leading scientific research environment

  2. Access personalized career mentoring and professional development courses

  3. Develop their own mentoring skills

  4. Connect with Gladstone’s vibrant community

Eligibility

  • Must have completed degree requirements for a PhD or MD/PhD prior to the start of the program.

  • Be a part of a group that has been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, as defined by the NIH, or have demonstrated support for underrepresented groups through their teaching, service, and research.

  • Must be a postdoc candidate who is being recruited by Gladstone. Current Gladstone postdocs are not eligible.

  • United States citizens or permanent residents encouraged to apply.

They are now accepting applications on a rolling basis.  All applicants must have first established an interest with a Gladstone investigator prior to applying to the program. Most Gladstone investigators are currently hiring, even if they don’t have a job posted on their careers page.
