You get to spend Winter, Spring, or Summer 2020 in Sacramento engaging with policymakers on issues important to California and your research. Last date to apply is October 21, 2019!

The UC Center Sacramento (UCCS) announces the Presidential GOLD Fellowship. This program offers doctoral-level graduate students in any academic discipline an opportunity to spend a quarter, semester, or summer term in residence in Sacramento for the purpose of conducting public policy research on issues germane to California, engaging with state policymakers, and supporting undergraduate education at UCCS. Fellowship recipients receive a stipend plus assistance with in-state tuition and fees. Selection will be based on a combination of demonstrated interest and experience in public policy and/or public service, academic accomplishment, and evidence of exceptional communication skills.

Submissions should be made no later than October 21, 2019 and should include:

• Description of public policy research interests (500 words max)
• Current CV
• Teaching evaluations from last two quarters/semesters
• Letter of recommendation from a supervising professor
