moovel and Daimler DigitalLife are partnering with LA CoMotion to bring you Hack.LAMobility, a 24-hour hackathon from November 16-17th. Hack.LAMobility is seeking students and young professionals to create a future without traffic jams and build technology and transportation solutions which will transform mobility in Los Angeles.

Participants will be competing to win an all-inclusive paid trip to
Berlin for the Tech Open Air festival!

The Challenge: The average LA commuter spends over 100 hours sitting in traffic every year. Imagine a future where you could spend that time doing the things you truly enjoy and live in a world without traffic jams. That's what brings us here today! LA is evolving everyday with new modes of transportation and innovations, and Hack.LAMobility challenges you to work in teams to build innovative solutions with some of the latest IoT hardware and transit systems to reinvent mobility in LA to help achieve a greener, more sustainable, and happier quality of life.

The Prize: The first place team will win a trip to Berlin for the Tech Open Air Festival in July 2019, along with e-scooters!

The Perks: Mingle with moovel, Daimler Digital Life, Mercedes-Benz, and other industry leaders to test and pitch your ideas in a fun, casual environment, and influence future-forward mobility solutions to improve travel experience in Los Angeles and your communities:

  • Access to a Hack.LAmobility tool kit with the latest IoT hardware and
    and transit backend systems
  • Mentorship to help jump-start your ideas

Date/Time: Friday, Nov. 16 to Saturday, Nov. 17. Doors will open at noon on Friday
for registration and the event starts at 1:00pm. The final pitches and
closing ceremony will be 1:00-2:30pm on Saturday.
