To tell stories in school is to harness the force of the spoken word. The spoken word, after all, has provided context for memory for millennia. This vibrant talk will explore the power of anecdotes in the science classroom for conducting problem solving sessions with students, establishing discussion topics, ordering the presentation of material, and exemplifying a point. The audience will experience these techniques during the talk and subsequent discussion.
