The Academic Job Market Success Series is here to support all graduate students. Through five sessions, we will:

  1. Break down the major sections of a cover letter and learn how to tailor your letter to specific positions (Cover Letter Workshop);

  2. Demystify C.V.s by discussing what the main sections of a C.V. include and how to write them for the job that you are applying for (C.V. Workshop);

  3. Master the art of writing about your research and draft a projection of ways to meet your discipline's publishing standards (Research Statement Workshop);

  4. Explore diversity statements: what they are, what they look like, and how to make yours relevant to who you are (Diversity Statement Workshop);

  5. Learn how to convey previous teaching experiences in pedagogical terms and how to incorporate applicable examples from your teaching careers (Teaching Philosophies Workshop).

These sessions welcome graduate students in any stage of their academic careers and from all academic disciplines.
