The Ford Foundation Fellowship Success Series is here to support ALL students eligible to apply for the pre-doctoral, dissertation, and post-doctoral fellowship. Through three sessions, we will:

  1. Cover the basics of applying to the Ford Foundation Fellowship and provide a Q&A session with fellowship winners and application evaluators (Q&A Information Session with Ford Fellows and Faculty Evaluators);

  2. Break down the various writing components required and provide tips for how to craft a winning application (Application Writing Workshop: In-depth Look at How to Write Each Application Component); and

  3. Read through sample winning statements to highlight what a successful statement looks like (Sample Application Writing Workshop: Deconstructing Successful Applications to Learn Helpful Strategies).

These three sessions welcome graduate students in any stage of their academic careers and from all academic disciplines. Please note that for each session, there is a humanities, social sciences, and education-oriented session AND a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics-oriented session. If you are unable to attend the session related to your academic field, you are welcome to attend the counterpart version. Students who are not applying this upcoming year but may in the future are also encouraged to attend so that they have ample time to prepare a strong application in subsequent years.
