Sign up to participate in Grad Slam 2017!

Launched in 2013, the UCSB Grad Slam is an award-winning campus-wide competition for the best three-minute talk by a graduate student. The 2017 competition will take place April 10-21.

Why should I compete?
For fortune and fame, of course! Oh, and the swag. Each competitor will receive a free Grad Slam mug and tote bag. Grad Slam is also a great opportunity to hone your presentation skills, publicize your research, and meet other cool graduate students doing interesting work.

This year, we're giving away over $15,000 in cash and prizes, including a grand prize of $5,000. Plus, the winner will get to compete in a UC-wide Grad Slam competition for the chance to win even more money!

Prizes AND an invaluable learning opportunity? Say no more! Where do I sign up?
We had a feeling you would ask that. Click here to fill out the registration form. Registration will close February 10.

OK, I'm signed up. Now what?
Get pumped with this trailer because exciting times lie ahead. You can also head to the competition page to see past winners and get more information.

Be on the lookout for Grad Slam updates throughout the quarter. We will be offering presentation workshops and resources to help you craft and refine your talk. Stay tuned!
