Dr. Nicolasa Sandoval, who received her Ph.D. from the UCSB Gevirtz Graduate School of Education in 2007, will take the stage as the 2019 UCSB Graduate Division Commencement Keynote speaker on Friday, June 14. Dr. Sandoval serves as the Education Director of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians and has been appointed twice by former California Governor Jerry Brown to the State Board of Education.
