Part 1: Academic Success

Graduate school is full of unique experiences and exciting opportunities. In this workshop, you'll learn how to identify strategies and resources to help you balance wellness and academics in your life, including tools for effective communication and conflict resolution. We'll also cover the importance of developing quality mentoring relationships while in grad school and how to get the mentoring you want.

Part 2: Career Success

When starting a graduate program, it may seem premature to think about what you’ll do after you graduate. But the truth is, grad school is not a placeholder for career development; it’s an opportunity to think about and develop your values, interests, and skills. No matter what type of career path you’re interested in (or even if you're not sure what you’re interested in yet), the time you spend doing career exploration is time well spent. This workshop will help you understand how the skills you gain in grad school can benefit you in a variety of careers. We’ll go over a general timeline of how you can be proactive to set yourself up for career success in grad school, as well as valuable information and resources to help you along the way.
