The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education offers summer, fall, and spring internship programs at locations across the United States for grad students in STEM to participate in lab experiences that expand their expertise beyond the traditional university setting. The program offers postdoctoral research fellowships and faculty mentoring to outstanding scholars in all fields whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to the diversity and equal opportunity at the University of California. Deadline is November 1.

The Academic Pathways Postdoctoral Fellowship program prepares fellows for entry into academic faculty positions. The program at Vanderbilt University provides 2 years of stipend, benefits, travel funding, and research allowance. Deadline is November 1, 2017.

The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) awards fellowships and grants up to $23,000 for study and/or research in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Deadline is November 1, 2017.

The Office of Coastal Management at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Associations provides fellowship opportunities for graduate students and recent recipients of graduate degrees interested in coastal, marine, and environmental management or research. Earliest deadline is November 1.

This two-year postdoc program supports promising scholars to become area studies experts in non-Western parts of the world. Open to all recent Ph.D. recipients and doctoral candidates in the social sciences or law. Deadline is October 1, 2017.

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is accepting applications for their 9-month residential fellowships offered for the 2018-2019 year. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply. Deadline is October 1, 2017.

Travel grants of up to $2,200 are available for research on federal policies, U.S. foreign relations, and national politics at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The application postmark deadline for the Fall 2017 round of grants is Friday, September 15.

The Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation's grants support research on Chinese Studies in the humanities and social sciences, with particular consideration for research focusing on the social, cultural, economic, or political development of Taiwan over the past few decades. Deadline is October 15.

The Michigan Fellows Society seeks applicants for appointment to eight 3-year postdoctoral fellowships, which come with an annual stipend of $60,000. They especially welcome candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. Deadline is September 26, 2017.

The EuropaInstitut welcomes applications for three Visiting Fellowships with special focus on the topic area “Performing Knowledge: The Politics and Economics of European Studies.” The deadline for applications is Friday, September 1, 2017.

The American Educational Research Association offers research grants to scholars in a variety of disciplines, such as education, sociology, economics, psychology, demography, statistics, and psychometrics. Application deadline is August 31, 2017.

This grant provides dissertation awards in all areas of research within the strategic priorities of the National Institute of Mental Health to individuals from diverse backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical, behavioral, clinical and social sciences research. Deadline is August 22.

The International Research and Studies (IRS) Program provides grants to conduct research studies to improve and strengthen instruction in modern foreign languages, area studies, and other international fields. Deadline is August 14, 2017.
