OVERVIEW
UC Center Sacramento is happy to announce the 2020-2021 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Solutions in Public Policy Award Competition. This award will recognize one or more outstanding proposals for new California legislation from UC STEM graduate students. The winner(s) will receive $1,000 for research support and-should their bill advance through the legislative process-travel expenses covering a trip to Sacramento to convene with Legislators and/or legislative staff.

AWARD

ELIGIBILITY
All UC graduate students in STEM field are eligible to apply. Competition winners will be selected based primarily on the clarity, feasibility, and originality of their proposal. Please note that if a state legislator decides to author a bill based on your proposal, the legislator will retain ownership of the idea for the duration of the legislative cycle.
