The Thomas Jefferson Fund is awarding $20,000 for multidisciplinary research projects related to Humanities and Social Sciences (SSH), Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or Science for Society (interdisciplinary STEM-SSH projects). The deadline is March 12, 2018.

The Thomas Jefferson Fund, launched by the French Embassy and the FACE foundation, aims to encourage and support cooperation among the most promising young French and American researchers and foster forward-looking collaborative research that addresses the most pressing global challenges.

AWARD
Each grant will amount to $20,000 over two years to be split equally between the French and the American teams. Co-financing from the researchers' universities is encouraged to ensure the sustainability of these research partnerships.

CATEGORIES
Applications are accepted in the three following fields:

  • Humanities and Social Sciences (SSH)

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

  • Science for Society (interdisciplinary STEM-SSH projects)

IMPORATANT DATES

  • Deadline is March 12, 2018 at Noon, EST.
  • Selection of 2018 grantees: Expected in June 2018
  • Estimated official announcement of the 2018 grantees: June 2018
  • Estimated launch of the selected projects: July 2018
