Residential postdoctoral fellowships for research in Christianity and academia

Valparaiso University (Valpo) awards up to 3 postdoctoral residential fellowships for 2 years to scholars interested in Christianity and academia. The fellowship is for teacher-scholars who seek to renew and enrich their intellectual and professional lives while preparing for leadership roles at church-related institutions of higher learning. A senior faculty member will mentor the fellow. Lilly Fellows are expected to teach courses within the 2 years at Valpo, located in Valparaiso, Indiana. They will also participate in weekly meetings and carry out research related to church and higher education. Fellows have the opportunity to network with representatives from other church-related colleges. In the second year, Lilly Fellows will be assisted with career development.

No citizenship requirements

Applicants must have received Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree within the last 2 years. Must demonstrate their interest in aims of Lilly Fellows Program and commitment to explore teaching as a Christian vocation. The program aims to employ persons of various backgrounds and experiences to help constitute a diverse community.

Starting salary will be $47,800 plus standard benefits, a moving allowance, and an annual professional and travel allowance.
