Calling all UC Student Innovators: Innovation Ambassador applications are now being accepted!

Are you interested in social impact, entrepreneurship & innovation, or public service? The Big Ideas Contest, open to all 10 UC system campuses, is seeking highly motivated students interested in social impact and entrepreneurship across the UC system to serve as Big Ideas Innovation Ambassadors.

Big Ideas is an innovation contest that provides up to $300,000 in funding, training, networks, and recognition to interdisciplinary teams of students who have transformative solutions to real-world problems.

Innovation Ambassadors (IAs) work with students, academic and industry leaders, and the Big Ideas team to foster and engage the social innovation network on their respective campuses. Each UC System campus will have one to two designated Ambassadors responsible for partnership development, outreach, event organization, and advising aspiring student innovators and early-stage startups.

IAs will receive a competitive stipend, personalized training, and ongoing support and guidance from the Big Ideas team based at UC Berkeley. The role will take place from early September through mid-December, with an expected 10-12 hours per week commitment. A virtual training will be organized in early to mid-September to kick off the program.
