Recruiting for Hackathon to Prevent U.S. Food Waste

The Ayadee Foundation, together with members of the Responsible Leaders Network of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, is hosting a virtual hackathon bringing networks of technologists, food and agriculture industry experts, policy experts, scientists, engineers and academics, to find new and innovative solutions. They are inviting graduate students to join them in finding solutions.

The event is starting this Friday and it's not too late to join!

How do we do this? On Friday, May 22nd, in a virtual kick off, they'll introduce the challenge, and bring the right people together: Tech experts who know how to develop software for new solutions and industry experts who know how the current food supply chain operates. The application period is now open.

From Friday, May 22nd- Sunday, May 31st the Hackathon is on: Teams across the US will work to develop solutions. High level industry mentors and coaches stand ready to advise and support the teams, as well as leading expert workshops.

On Sunday, May 31st, June 1st, teams will present their solutions in a virtual pitch to an interdisciplinary jury including experts in tech, agriculture, and food supply chains.

Who is called into Action? They need creative minds, dealmakers and solution-oriented brain power that is committed to ensure America's hungry can feed themselves, while making our value chains more efficient to serve the economy. They need techies, food and agriculture industry experts, policy experts, scientists, engineers, academics, entrepreneurs, civil society activists and local and national policy makers.

How to get more information? The application and further details can be found at hackathon.ayadee.io, and specific questions can be sent to info@ayadee.io.
